Job summary

Balfour Beatty in the Northwest is seeking motivated college students for our Summer 2027 Internship Program in Oregon. This internship provides hands-on exposure to project budgeting, safety and quality control, and construction management fundamentals.

Interns will review submittals, coordinate with owners, architects and subcontractors, and support project teams through cost control, documentation, and communication tasks. Salary: $25–$30 per hour.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Construction Management, Construction Engineering or Construction Technology program.
• Prior commercial construction internships or work experience is helpful but not required.
• Strong computer skills including word processing and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Learn about managing the project budget by controlling expenditures and coordinating billings.
• Learn about Safety and Quality Control programs and coordinate actions to address problems.
• Learn company procedures, correspondence handling, and Office Manager coordination.
• Learn how to review submittal data and shop drawings.
• Coordinate submittals, deliveries, and other items affecting project schedule with the Superintendent.
• Maintain RFI logs and change request logs.
