Job summary

DN Tanks in Wakefield, MA offers a Construction Co-op for civil engineering students. You will gain hands-on experience on real projects from conception to completion, with a dedicated mentor guiding you through the lifecycle of heavy-civil construction.

Responsibilities include identifying suppliers and preparing pricing, developing concrete mix designs with suppliers, producing AutoCAD site layouts, coordinating with subcontractors, and performing pre-pour inspections.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an Engineering or Construction Management undergraduate program with Civil Engineering focus preferred.
• Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD) and Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
• Excellent communication and time management skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize work.

Responsibilities

• Identify local concrete suppliers and prepare pre-bid/post-bid pricing.
• Develop and trial batch concrete/shotcrete mix designs with suppliers; assist Project Engineers with submittals.
• Develop AutoCAD site layout drawings showing slopes, ramps, roads, crane positions, and casting bed locations.
• Coordinate with sitework, rebar, crane, and concrete subcontractors.
• Perform jobsite pre-pour inspections with Project Engineers and Project Managers.
• Opportunity to visit construction sites during precast panel erection.
