Placements24 is seeking a Chemical Engineer to provide on-the-floor support for daily production at our Paarl facilities. You will troubleshoot issues, monitor processes, and support continuous improvement efforts to ensure smooth operations.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering with 1–3 years of relevant experience, familiarity with process control systems, and strong analytical and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
• 1–3 years of experience in chemical manufacturing or process support.
• Familiarity with process control systems and plant operations.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to respond effectively to production needs.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills for effective teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-the-floor technical support to production teams addressing operational challenges.
• Monitor process performance and identify deviations from optimal conditions.
• Assist in implementing process improvements and troubleshooting initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs and safety guidelines.
• Contribute to root cause analysis for production issues and recommend solutions.
