B2B Distribution (technical product), Multi Site, & Services Platform in San Diego seeks a hands-on Chief Financial Officer to lead finance, accounting, systems, and performance management. You will work closely with operations, sales, and service leadership to scale financial processes and controls while supporting growth initiatives.

The role requires CFO-level experience in a growing private business with multi-location operations and a strong track record in ERP systems, budgeting, and M&A

Qualifications

• Experience as CFO or head of finance in a growing private company.
• Experience operating in multi-entity, multi-location environments.
• Background in operationally intensive services/engineering/asset models.
• Experience with Percentage Completion Accounting.
• ERP selection, implementation, or major system transformation.
• Exposure to M&A activity, including integration and post-close execution.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic financial leadership aligned to growth, expansion, and operational scale.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning across multi-branch operations.
• Ensure margin visibility across service, project, and asset-based revenue streams.
• Develop scalable reporting, controls, and financial infrastructure.
• Partner with operations and commercial leadership to drive performance and efficiency.
• Support acquisition activity and post-close integration.
• Build a strong finance and accounting organization.
