Job summary

Pascua Yaqui Tribe is seeking a Building Maintenance Worker to perform unskilled and semi-skilled maintenance across buildings, grounds, and tribal facilities. The role covers carpentry, painting, mechanical and plumbing tasks, and basic HVAC work.

Responsibilities include maintaining electrical and plumbing systems, repairing fixtures, and supporting general maintenance projects. The position requires the ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work outdoors in varied weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance, minor carpentry, painting, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, or custodial projects.
• Ability to maintain and repair lighting fixtures, switches, motors, sensors, fuses, thermostats, bulbs, and ballasts.
• Experience with plumbing fixtures, water lines, drains, and leaks, and basic plumbing repairs.
• Familiarity with HVAC maintenance, including cleaning/replacing filters and parts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform semi-skilled and manual work in building maintenance and related projects.
• Maintain and repair electrical systems, lighting fixtures, switches, motors, sensors, and thermostats.
• Repair plumbing fixtures, clear lines and drains, and handle plumbing leaks and replacements.
• Maintain HVAC systems by cleaning/replacing filters and parts as needed.
• Perform general building maintenance and construction tasks: floors, ceilings, doors, windows, shelves, furniture.
• Set up rooms for meetings or events and move equipment or materials as required.
• Follow safety procedures and use safety equipment; post signs to warn of hazards.
• Perform other duties of similar nature as requested by supervisor.
