Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 7+ years of experience, or an associate’s degree or certification with 5+ years of experience.
• Extensive knowledge in specialized focused support functions.
• Strong research techniques and practices.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, project management and customer-relations skills.
• Must meet educational requirements prior to employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain experiments, sensors and laboratory facilities, including troubleshooting and maintaining complex mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Assist in the development, preparation and operation of R&D experiments under the supervision of engineering staff.
• Work with engineers and scientists to design, fabricate and conduct experiments, set up computers and controls, and monitor equipment.
• Maintain a safe operating environment in accordance with NLR’s policies and procedures, with special attention to all safety aspects.
• Support field test work, including limited travel.
