Job summary

Roda is seeking a dedicated Technician Trainer to join our growing team and deliver exceptional experiences for our customers. This hands-on role places you in the bays alongside technicians, not in a classroom, and you will be the go-to expert when a job gets difficult.

You will onboard new technicians, coach on the shop floor, close skill gaps, and document how we do the work. A successful candidate has ASE Master Technician certification or the ability to earn it within 12 months and can

Qualifications

7+ years as automotive technician with diagnostics across makes/models.
ASE Master Technician certification or ability to earn within 12 months.
Proven training/mentoring or leadership experience.
Ability to explain technical work clearly to technicians and non-technical teammates.
Comfort with scan tools, digital service information, and shop management software.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Onboard new technicians with safety and shop procedures.
Assess technician skills on arrival and create development plans.
Deliver hands-on training in maintenance, diagnostics, brakes, suspension, electrical, and HVAC.
Train technicians on shop systems: repair orders, reports, photo/video documentation, and time tracking.
Write and maintain SOPs, checklists, and quick-reference guides.
Track performance and progress with regular evaluations.
