Job summary

Avis Budget Group is hiring an automotive technician to service our fleet on-site in Norfolk, VA. You will perform preventive maintenance across a variety of newer vehicles, including oil changes and tire services, while adhering to safety and quality standards.

The role offers hands-on training, potential ASE certification support, and opportunities to grow in a busy concessions environment with benefits and on-site teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude or prior automotive maintenance experience.
• Comfortable working in a mechanical shop with moderate to loud noise levels.
• Basic computer skills including typing and data entry.
• Flexibility to work all shifts.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand, bend, reach, walk, sit and kneel frequently.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles including oil changes, fluid services, tire changes/rotations, and basic repairs.
• Work on a diverse fleet across multiple brands to gain exposure to different systems and technologies.
• Follow safety procedures and quality standards; assist senior technicians as needed.
