Job summary

Confidential Jobs in the Triad area is seeking an Automation Engineer to design, program, troubleshoot, and improve automated manufacturing systems from concept through production launch on a hands-on basis.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in automation engineering, strong PLC and controls experience, and a track record in commissioning and startups within high-volume or precision manufacturing environments. Vision/placement/assembly system experience and Keyence PLCs are a plus.

Qualifications

5+ years of automation engineering experience in manufacturing.
Strong PLC programming and controls engineering experience.
Experience designing and integrating automated equipment.
Experience with HMIs, VFDs, sensors, motion controls, and industrial networks.
Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
Experience supporting commissioning and production startups.
Background in high-volume or precision manufacturing.
Experience with automated vision, placement, or assembly systems.
Keyence PLC experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Own and improve automation capabilities from concept to production launch.
Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to boost manufacturing performance.
