Job summary

Actalent, Newton, NC seeks a Controls Engineer to drive automation and control system improvements on the production floor. The role blends hands-on troubleshooting with project engineering to optimize reliability, safety, and performance of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic controls.

You will work with Siemens PLCs, Fanuc CNCs, and various vision and motion control technologies in a fast-moving automotive manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in industrial automation and manufacturing controls engineering.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate control systems and ensure reliability and safety.
• Develop and execute test procedures to validate control functionality.
• Prepare electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic control drawings for designs and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to select components and suppliers.
