Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is offering a hands-on 30-day trial to qualify for an 18-month Technician Development Program in the automotive body repair field.

You will work alongside experienced technicians to learn dent removal, sanding, and painting, while learning tool usage, safety, and repair planning. This role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and hands-on skill development within a structured program.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Stand for long periods in vehicle repair.
• Able to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• Visually inspect vehicle damage in various weather conditions.
• Handle vehicle parts with hands.
• Strong interest in automotive industry and willingness to learn.
• Follow instructions and work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in basic auto body repairs (dent removal, sanding, painting) under supervision.
• Learn to use and maintain tools safely and efficiently.
• Participate in vehicle inspections and help develop repair plans.
• Collaborate with team to meet timelines and quality standards.
• Maintain safety protocols and a clean, organized workspace.
