Job summary

DOZ in Austin, TX offers a full-time, in-office internship running January through mid-March. Interns work an average of 55 hours per week, with peak weeks reaching up to 65 hours during the busy season, so applicants should be prepared for a demanding schedule and hands-on experience.

You will complete onboarding, participate in all audit phases from planning to financial statement preparation, and collaborate with the Audit team to complete 35+ audits.

Qualifications

• Accounting major working toward CPA exam eligibility.
• GPA 3.0 or higher preferred.
• Able to commit to 55+ hours per week during the internship.
• Reliable transportation to the office.

Responsibilities

• Complete onboarding and training before client engagements.
• Participate in all audit phases: planning, fieldwork, and financial statement prep.
• Collaborate with Audit team to complete 35+ audits from start to finish.
• Prepare draft audit reports for senior feedback.
• Manage work across multiple client engagements in affordable housing and community development.
• Meet regularly with your in-charge to review progress and develop your skills.
