Nkarta, Inc. in South San Francisco is seeking an Associate General Counsel to support commercial, compliance, promotional review, employment, and corporate needs.

This hands-on role partners with leaders across the company in a fast-paced, clinical-stage biotech environment. Ideal candidates will be a California-licensed attorney with at least 7 years of experience, strong transactional skills, and familiarity with SEC reporting and corporate governance.

Formación

• Active state bar membership in good standing (California preferred) and eligibility to practice as in-house counsel in California.
• Minimum 7 years of legal experience, ideally at a public biotech or life sciences company.
• Strong transactional experience negotiating complex commercial agreements, life sciences preferred.
• Experience with SEC reporting, corporate governance and public company compliance.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee the contracts function and manage non-standard terms, negotiation positions, and risk across agreements.
• Advise on high-value license, collaboration, and vendor agreements.
• Maintain corporate policies, deliver compliance training, and support programs (conflicts, data privacy).
• Review promotional and corporate communications for FDA/SEC compliance; assist pre-approval communications.
• Manage outside counsel relationships, IP matters, and support litigation as needed.
• Support SEC filings, board materials, governance, and capital markets transactions.
• Advise on employment matters and immigration, and help scale the legal function using AI tools.
