Job summary

EY seeks a hands-on Solution Architect to design AI-enabled applications and digital products. You’ll prototype, review code, and guide engineering teams through critical decisions in Digital Engineering Managed Services.

The role emphasizes architecture ownership and strong engineering judgment across build-and-run engagements. You'll work directly with engineers, set patterns, and apply responsible AI controls, while balancing speed, security and cost in a client-facing, hybrid work

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on background in software engineering and modern application architectures.
• Deep understanding of cloud-native design, APIs, integration patterns and data architectures.
• Practical experience building AI-enabled features (prompting, RAG, embeddings, evaluation).
• Comfort working directly in code, infrastructure and pipelines—not just producing diagrams.
• Clear technical communication and a bias toward building to learn.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end architectures across UI, APIs, services, data and AI components.
• Prototype solutions to validate architectural decisions early.
• Define reference architectures for AI-enabled products and guardrails.
• Author ADRs, sequence flows and non-functional requirements.
• Lead technical workshops and guide client architects and engineers.
• Review AI-generated code, tests and documentation for correctness and risk.
