Job summary

DeepRec.ai is seeking a hands-on AI Engineer in Massachusetts to build and deploy internal AI capabilities for a private equity firm. You’ll analyze workflows, design and implement AI agents, and automate research, data collection and reporting.

You’ll partner with senior leadership on bottlenecks, integrate LLMs with internal systems, and scale AI across the portfolio over time, delivering measurable value. On-site in Waltham; visa sponsorship not available.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering skills with Python experience.
• Experience building production applications using LLMs.
• Experience building AI agents and multi-step workflows.
• Knowledge of retrieval augmented generation (RAG) and vector databases.
• Cloud infrastructure and containerization (AWS/Azure/GCP; Docker).
• Builder mentality with autonomous work style.
• Strong communication to explain technical concepts to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Work with senior leadership to identify bottlenecks and automate repetitive processes.
• Translate business problems into clearly defined technical solutions.
• Design, build and deploy production-grade AI agents and applications.
• Create agentic workflows involving reasoning, data processing, and system interactions.
• Integrate LLMs with existing apps, documents, databases, and third-party platforms.
• Build retrieval/knowledge systems (RAG) for internal information.
• Implement monitoring and observability for AI systems in production.
• Establish data access controls and governance.
