Job summary

Farm Credit East offers a 10‑week summer internship across the Northeast, providing hands-on experience in financial services, credit, and crop insurance. Interns will travel to regions, participate in customer visits and shadow professionals while completing a strategic project and presenting to leadership.

Interns are placed in marketplace locations, with a rolling application process and a pay rate of $21/hour.

Qualifications

• Students currently completing their junior year with expected graduation date of December 2027 or May 2028.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Working towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Agriculture, Agri‑Business, Accounting, Economics, Finance, Business or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned strategic project and present to executive leadership team.
• Learn about and complete assigned tasks in various departments within FCE: credit, tax and accounting, appraisal, crop insurance among others.
• Participate in customer visits and job shadowing opportunities.
• Be an active listener and communicate effectively.
• Always maintain a positive and professional attitude.
• Travel to different regions within the FCE territory.
