Job summary

Farm Credit East is seeking a summer intern to learn about financial services, credit, and crop insurance while supporting multiple departments across the Northeast. You will gain professional development skills and hands-on experience by shadowing staff and engaging in customer visits during a 10-week program.

Responsibilities include completing a strategic project, presenting to executive leadership, and traveling to different regions within the Farm Credit East territory.

Qualifications

• Current junior-year student with expected graduation December 2027 or May 2028.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Agriculture, Agri‑Business, Accounting, Economics, Finance, Business or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned strategic project and present to executive leadership team.
• Learn about and complete tasks in various departments within FCE: credit, tax and accounting, appraisal, crop insurance among others.
• Participate in customer visits and job shadowing opportunities.
• Be an active listener and communicate effectively.
• Always maintains a positive and professional attitude.
• Travel to different regions within the FCE territory.
