Job summary

Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. in Jupiter, Florida, is seeking a Manufacturing Operations Engineer with 5–10 years of turbomachinery, gas engine or related experience. The role targets growing responsibility toward technical expert or IPT Lead in a fast-paced aerospace setting.

You will set up BoMs, manage manufacturing activities, and collaborate with purchasing, design, and quality. Proactive supplier coordination and DFM input are essential.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Minimum 5–10 years of turbomachinery, gas engine, or related experience.
• Experience interfacing with IPTs and suppliers.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to read models and drawings; CAD skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain Bills of Materials (BoMs) and manage manufacturing activities.
• Interface with Quality Engineering to ensure compliance with procedures.
• Serve as interface between purchasing, design, manufacturing, and quality.
• Set and execute project schedules, provide weekly status.
• Interact with suppliers and document lessons learned for DFM improvements.
• Other duties as assigned.
