Express Employment Professionals - Meriden is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager for a growing manufacturing company in Glastonbury, CT. This hands-on role covers the full accounting cycle, including AR/AP, payroll, inventory accounting, reconciliations, month-end and year-end close, and financial reporting.

The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of experience in accounting, with manufacturing exposure, and a meticulous, independent work style.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on accounting experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of AR, AP, payroll, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statements.
• Experience with inventory accounting.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy; able to manage multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting functions across AR/AP, payroll, and collections.
• Oversee inventory accounting and complete bank reconciliations.
• Prepare accrual and adjusting journal entries; manage month-end and year-end close.
• Prepare and review financial statements; perform account analysis and investigate discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate, organized financial records and support additional accounting responsibilities as needed.
