Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC is seeking a Senior Accountant for a manufacturing client in Farmington, CT with a hybrid schedule. You will own and optimize key accounting processes and drive improvements within a high-performing team.

The role includes month-end close, financial statement preparation, variance analysis, budgeting support, and cross-functional collaboration to strengthen controls. A 4+ year accounting background and GAAP knowledge are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Manufacturing or cost accounting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee key areas of the general ledger and month-end close process.
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate variances and discrepancies.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Partner with operations to improve financial processes and reporting.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting procedures and strengthen internal controls.
• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, and cost accounting activities as needed.
• Assist with annual audits, tax reporting, and other external financial requirements.
• Provide financial insight and analysis to support business decision-making.
• Take ownership of accounting projects and process improvements.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and applicable accounting standards.
• Perform other accounting and finance duties as needed.
