Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC is seeking an Accounting Manager / Assistant Controller for a primarily remote role with occasional meetings in the Washington, DC area. The position offers base salary of $115,000–$135,000 plus up to a 20% bonus and exposure to CFO-level insights.

You'll manage multi-entity accounting, close processes, and financial reporting while staying hands-on and collaborating with senior leadership. A BA/BS in accounting is required.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller or comparable-level background.
• Hands-on GL, month-end close, journal entries and reconciliations.
• Financial statement preparation/reporting.
• AP and AR accounting experience.
• Strong GAAP knowledge.
• Advanced Excel.
• QuickBooks.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting for assigned entities, including AP, AR and bank reconciliations
• Prepare journal entries, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations
• Support month-end, quarterly and year-end close
• Prepare financial statements and management reporting
• Support multi-entity accounting, intercompany activity and consolidations
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
• Partner directly with the CFO on financial analysis and special projects
• Progressively take on broader close and financial reporting ownership
