FedEx Logistics is seeking a part-time package handler to move and load packages, operating ramp equipment and performing shuttle duties with a non-articulated vehicle. The role requires ability to lift 50 lbs from ground to chest level and work in all weather conditions.
Responsibilities include working in a noisy operations environment, communicating effectively, and complying with FMCSA regulations. Training is provided as required, with medical exams and safety clearances part of the process.
Provides movement of packages in a safe and efficient manner; to operate mechanized ramp equipment to load and unload packages; to perform shuttle functions using a non-articulated vehicle. Performs other duties as assigned.

Able to lift 50 lbs. without assistance from the ground to chest level and to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. using appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Able to walk and stand for designated work hours. Able to bend and squat for designated work hours. Able to maneuver packages above shoulder level. Ability to maneuver packages in enclosed spaces and stack packages above one’s head if required at location. Able to work in all weather conditions if required at work location. Able to climb stairs and ladders if required at work location. Ability to work with power and hand tools. Able to successfully complete all basic and re-currency training. The ability to communicate both timely and effectively, in a noisy operations environment, is required. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.
Non-covered safety sensitive position. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Medical exam required in accordance with FHWA or FAA regulations. Must meet qualifications as outlined in Section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
