Job summary

FedEx Logistics in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a shuttle operations associate to load and unload aircraft and vehicles and to sort packages in a fast-paced logistics setting. You will operate a non-articulated vehicle and perform related duties as assigned.

Requires a high school diploma or GED, ability to lift 50 lbs, and basic English reading and verbal communication skills. Training on safety and regulatory requirements is provided, with shifts Mon-Fri or Tue-Sat, and a mandatory medical exam

• Experience or training to operate power and hand tools safely.

Job description

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to successfully complete all basic and re-currency training. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Ability to work with power and hand tools. Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the federal motor carrier safety regulations. Effectively communicate verbally in a time sensitive manner in noisy operations environment. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

Job Conditions

Requires medical exam in accordance with FHWA or FAA regulations. Non-covered safety sensitive position. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Must be licensed for type of equipment assigned.

In New Jersey, any compensable Security and Walk time will be paid to non-exempt/hourly employees at the state minimum wage.
