Job Duties

1. Provides movement of packages, documents, dangerous goods, and/or supply support in a timely, safe, and efficient manner through effective scan/load methods.
2. May occasionally drive DOT-sized vehicles.
3. Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Able to lift 50 lbs. without assistance from the ground to chest level and maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. using appropriate equipment and/or assistance.
• Able to walk and stand for designated work hours.
• Able to bend, squat, and maneuver packages above shoulder level and in enclosed spaces.
• Capable of stacking packages above head if required.
• Able to work in all weather conditions and climb stairs and ladders as needed.
• Must successfully complete all basic and re-currency training.
• Effective communication skills in noisy environments are required.

Requires a medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations and must meet qualifications outlined in Section 391 of FMCSA regulations. Refer to Policy 4-48 for exact job requirements.

Job Conditions

Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Medical exam required. Must possess a valid driver’s license. Ability to work alert and safely at all times.

Preferred Qualifications

Handler DOT AM Shift Part Time 6:30 AM - 12:30 PM

Pay and Additional Details

Pay: $18.06 per hour. Must be 21 years of age and have a valid driver’s license for the past 3 years with no suspensions.
