Job summary

SBH Fashion seeks a Technical Designer to manage the product lifecycle from sketch through pre-production for handbags, creating and updating tech packs to ensure accurate measurements, construction and on-time delivery.

The role requires collaboration with Design and Production, sample evaluation, and close work with overseas offices and vendors to resolve production issues while maintaining WIP reports and trim libraries.

Qualifications

• 4 years’ experience as a technical designer in an SKU-intensive environment.
• Proven expertise in handbag technical design, specs and patterns.
• College degree, or equivalent professional work experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage product lifecycle from sketch to pre-production and approval.
• Create and review tech packs with detailed specs and construction.
• Collaborate with Design and Production to ensure cost-effective styles.
• Communicate with overseas offices and vendors to resolve production issues.
• Generate WIP reports and manage trim card library.
• Coordinate testing for fabric/leather and product care.
