Job summary

Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale, PA, seeks a full-time, on-site Physician Assistant (PA) or Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) to join our orthopedic practice with a focus on hand and wrist care. The provider will support evaluation, treatment, and ongoing management of upper-extremity conditions in outpatient and perioperative settings.

You will collaborate with the hand and wrist surgeon, educate patients, and contribute to care coordination within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited PA/CRNP program.
• Licensed PA or CRNP in Pennsylvania.
• Current DEA registration for prescribing.
• Orthopedic/outpatient hand experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and patient education skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate hand, wrist, and upper-extremity patients with history taking and focused exams.
• Collaborate with the hand and wrist surgeon to develop treatment plans.
• Provide follow-up care for surgical and non-surgical patients.
• Assist with clinic procedures and care coordination within scope of practice.
• Support perioperative care including pre/postoperative assessments and discharge instructions.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, options, rehab expectations, wound care, and restrictions.
• Order and review imaging and communicate results with the surgeon.
• Maintain accurate EHR documentation, orders, referrals, and records.
• Coordinate care with nursing, MAs, therapy, and surgical team; participate in quality improvement.
