Job summary

Precision Orthopedics & Sports Medicine in Maryland is seeking an Orthopedic Surgeon – Hand and Wrist to diagnose, treat, and manage hand and wrist injuries, perform complex outpatient and surgical procedures, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive treatment plans.

Minimum qualifications include MD or DO, completed orthopedic surgery residency and hand and wrist fellowship, board certification or eligibility, and a Maryland medical license by start date.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited institution.
• Completion of an accredited orthopedic surgery residency program.
• Fellowship training in orthopedic Hand and Wrist.
• Board certification or eligibility in orthopedic surgery and orthopedic hand and wrist surgery.
• Valid medical license to practice in Maryland by employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and diagnose hand and wrist disorders through clinical examination and imaging.
• Develop individualized treatment plans including surgical and non-surgical options.
• Perform surgeries on the hand and wrist, primarily outpatient.
• Oversee preoperative and postoperative care and recovery.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and treatment planning.
• Maintain accurate medical records per regulations and policies.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and license maintenance.
