The surgeon will perform outpatient procedures, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and contribute to ongoing clinical practice improvements.

The role emphasizes preoperative and postoperative patient care, research, and education, with a focus on advanced hand and wrist techniques and evidence-based care in a private practice

Qualifications

• Must hold an MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an orthopedic surgery residency program.
• Fellowship training in hand and wrist surgery.
• Board certification or eligibility in orthopedic surgery and hand and wrist surgery.
• Valid Maryland medical license by employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and diagnose hand and wrist conditions through clinical exams and imaging.
• Develop individualized treatment plans including surgical and non-surgical options.
• Perform a wide range of hand and wrist surgeries, primarily outpatient.
• Manage preoperative planning and postoperative care and monitor recovery.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and participate in case discussions.
• Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with regulations.
