Job summary

GBMC HealthCare is seeking a fellowship-trained Hand and Upper Extremity Orthopedic Surgeon to join our orthopedic practice, offering a collaborative musculoskeletal program and advanced AP support. The role involves managing a broad spectrum of hand conditions and participating in general orthopaedics call without spine coverage.

Applicants must be MD/DO graduates with hand and upper-extremity fellowship training, and board certification or eligibility in Orthopaedic Surgery, with Maryland

Qualifications

• Fellowship-trained in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery.
• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Licensed or eligible for Maryland physician licensure.
• Board certified or board eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery.
• Completion of required continuing medical education credits for licensure and certification.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage hand and upper-extremity disorders.
• Perform history and physicals; document findings in EMR.
• Develop and implement surgical and nonsurgical treatment plans.
• Treat a broad range of hand and upper-extremity conditions, from fingertip to elbow.
• Perform elective and acute hand and upper-extremity procedures as privileges allow.
• Coordinate care with orthopaedic surgeons, APPs, therapists, and staff.
• Participate in General Orthopaedics call schedule; support quality improvement.
