Job summary

Southeast Orthopedic Specialists is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) to join our orthopedics team focused on hand, wrist, and elbow care. This full-time role offers outpatient clinic responsibilities with OR First Assist opportunities.

Ideal candidates will be licensed in Florida (or eligible) with orthopedic or hand experience, and strong clinical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
• Active Florida PA-C or ARNP license (or ability to obtain prior to start).
• Current CPR certification.
• Orthopedic, surgical, or hand and upper extremity experience preferred.
• Strong clinical, communication, and patient care skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat hand, wrist, and upper extremity conditions and injuries.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Order and interpret diagnostic imaging and other clinical tests.
• Administer injections, prescribe medications, and provide non-operative treatment options.
• Assist in the management of fractures, tendon injuries, nerve compression syndromes, arthritis, and other hand and wrist conditions.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient care.
• Participate in Operating Room (OR) time as First Assist for hand and upper extremity surgical procedures.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, therapists, and multidisciplinary care teams.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans to optimize outcomes.
• Respond to patient questions, triage clinical concerns, and provide ongoing education.
