Shirley Ryan AbilityLab in Chicago is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate and plan treatment to restore independence in daily living. The role emphasizes patient participation, family collaboration, and advancing skills across age groups, with opportunities to supervise students and teach in the department.

Applicants must hold an Illinois OT license and a current CPR/BLS certification, and participate in weekend rotations as part of our comprehensive care team.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current Illinois OT license to practice.
• Current CPR or BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross.
• Ability to collaborate with health professionals and families.
• Willingness to participate in weekend rotation and ongoing education.

Responsabilités

• Evaluates, assesses, and plans OT treatment to restore or maximize independence.
• Facilitates patient participation and collaborates with team and family.
• Identifies goals with patient and family; implements treatment plans.
• Participates in care conferences; educates patient and family.
• Documents care activities per department protocols; may supervise OT students.
• May teach in department education and training courses.
