Job summary

OrthoNJ, LLC is seeking an Occupational Therapist with a hand therapy focus to help patients regain hand function and improve quality of life. The role involves evaluating, planning, and implementing tailored hand therapy programs for upper extremity conditions.

Qualifications

• Valid Occupational Therapist license in the relevant state.
• Experience or interest in hand therapy preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous learning.
• Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) certification is not required but is a significant plus.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with upper extremity conditions and post-surgical cases.
• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
• Fabricate custom orthoses/splints for upper extremity conditions.
• Perform initial evaluations and ongoing progress assessments using outcome measures.
• Document patient care per clinical standards and guidelines.
• Educate patients and families about home programs and injury prevention.
• Maintain current knowledge of hand therapy therapies and best practices.
