Professional Physical Therapy in Newton, MA is seeking an Occupational Therapist / Hand Therapist to join our outpatient team in a high-demand upper-extremity program.

You will evaluate, treat post-surgical and complex hand conditions, fabricate custom orthoses, educate patients, and collaborate with physicians to drive outcomes. Eligible for paid national certifications and structured onboarding for growth.

Qualifications

• Active state Occupational Therapist license is required.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy is required.
• Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) is strongly preferred; candidates pursuing CHT are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations focused on upper-extremity function.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to restore function and reduce pain.
• Treat a wide range of post-surgical and complex upper-extremity conditions.
• Deliver manual therapy and evidence-based upper-extremity interventions.
• Design and fabricate custom orthoses and splints for complex upper-extremity conditions.
• Educate patients on home exercise programs and activity modification.
• Collaborate with referring physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Monitor progress and adjust plans to maximize outcomes.
