Job summary

OrthoArizona is seeking a Hand Therapist to join our premier orthopedic practice in Gilbert, AZ. The role focuses on outpatient hand therapy, evaluating patients, setting goals, and delivering individualized treatment plans to restore function.

Qualifications include a degree in Physical or Occupational Therapy, AZ licensure, CPR, and at least 2 years of outpatient hand therapy experience with splint fabrication; CHT preferred. Competitive salary range: $80,000-$130,000 based on experience.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy program.
• Passed National Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy Examination.
• Licensed in the state of Arizona.
• Maintain CPR certification.
• Minimum 2 years experience specific to outpatient orthopedic hand therapy and splint fabrication.
• CHT Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review physician referrals to determine hand therapy needs.
• Evaluate patients using tests, measurements and observations.
• Develop individualized treatment goals based on data and demographics.
• Administer treatment to improve and maintain function.
• Instruct, educate, and assist patients to perform activities in the treatment plan.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment for maximum results.
• Document treatment, response, and progress in the chart.
• Record treatment charges daily and complete tickets.
• Assist in training and orienting of new staff.
• Supervise OTAs, techs and aides.
• All other duties assigned.
