Job summary

OrthoArizona is seeking a Hand Therapist in Surprise, AZ to join one of the state’s largest orthopedic practices. You will review referrals, evaluate patients, and develop individualized treatment plans aimed at restoring function and improving outcomes.

The role requires an AZ PT or OT license, CPR certification, and a minimum of 2 years in outpatient hand therapy with splint fabrication; CHT is preferred. The organization offers robust benefits and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy program.
• Passed the National Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy Examination.
• Licensed in the state of Arizona and CPR certification.
• Minimum 2 years experience in outpatient orthopedic hand therapy and splint fabrication.
• Preferred: Certified Hand Therapist (CHT).

Responsibilities

• Review physician referrals to determine hand therapy needs.
• Evaluate patients using tests, measurements, and observations.
• Develop individual treatment goals based on data and demographics.
• Administer therapy to improve and maintain function.
• Instruct and motivate patients to perform prescribed activities.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment to achieve results.
• Document treatment and progress in medical records.
• Train and orient new staff; supervise assistants.
