Job summary

HCA Healthcare's Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist to join our occupational therapy team. Qualified candidates hold a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy, MO license, Hand Therapy Certification, and BLS. One year OT experience prior to Hand Certification is required.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The occupational therapist functions as a member of the healthcare team. The purpose is to provide medically prescribed occupational therapy programs in accordance with national standards and administrative policies of the hospital. The goal is to restore function and prevent disability following disease, injury, surgery or loss of a body part in order to allow the patient to perform to his/her maximum ability.

What qualifications you will need:

• Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from an accredited school

• Current Missouri State Occupational Therapy License and Certification by Hand Therapy Certification Commission required.

• American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS required upon hire

• One year experience as an Occupational Therapist prior to obtaining Hand Certification.
