Benchmark is seeking a hand soldering technician to locate components on electronic assemblies in a high-precision environment in Rochester, MN. The role emphasizes reading schematics, following documented instructions, and maintaining quality and safety standards.

This full-time position requires the ability to work shifts and overtime as needed. Candidates should have high school education, basic math, and a readiness for hand solder Certification training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, write and perform basic math functions.
• Ability to successfully complete hand solder Certification requirements.
• Ability to read and understand schematic drawings, process and manufacturing instructions.

Responsibilities

• Hand solders electronic components on boards per documented instructions and schematic drawings.
• Prints Dispatch List and determines product priority based on production guidelines.
• Obtains paperwork and drawings for each job and verifies effective date.
• Maintains a clean work area and follows safety and ESD practices.
• Performs data entry for labor and WIP tracking and reports daily throughput.
