Job summary

TRIUMPHdesigns, engineers, manufactures and overhauls a broad portfolio of aviation components, accessories, subassemblies, systems and aircraft structures. We are growing and seek a 2nd shift deburring technician to join our manufacturing team, finishing parts per blueprints and preparing them for plating or shipping.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, knowledge of deburring processes, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

This is a 2nd shift position.

Summary: Independently hand-finishes production parts by deburring and other methods and removes excess metal and surface defects from such items as hardware, material, assembled parts, etc. prior to plating or shipping by performing the following duties per blueprint and work instruction requirements:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. (Other duties may be assigned)

Selects abrasive belt or wheel according to grain size, type of finish specified, product being polished, or amount of metal to be removed.

Attaches wheel or belt to drive mechanism.

Starts equipment and manipulates workpiece against abrasive wheel or portable wheel against workpiece to remove metal and surface defects.

Examines part for acceptability of dimensions and finish.

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MRP Manufacturing software.

Hourly rate: $22.52 - $29.00 plus 2nd shift differential of $2.50.
