Job summary

Hamilton House Senior Living is seeking a Cook/Chef to join our team in Cedarburg, WI. The role involves preparing meals per resident diet specifications and internal procedures, ensuring safety and sanitation, and supporting a warm, community-focused environment for our residents.

Shifts available: Every other weekend/holiday, 11:00am-7:00pm. Wage ranges from $17.50 to $22.50 per hour, depending on experience. This is a hands-on role with opportunities to contribute to resident well-being.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a senior living setting is preferred.
• Must possess advanced computer skills, including email use.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food in accordance with prescribed menus, diet plans, recipes, portions and temperature controls.
• Direct and assist in cleaning and sanitizing work areas, equipment and floors, dishes and utensils.
• Check trays for menu, diet requirements, preferences and accuracy.
• Ensure proper storage for food and supplies.
• Review and process diet changes and ensure menus are followed per procedures.

In this position, you will be responsible for preparing food in accordance with prescribed resident diet specifications, facility procedures, and dietary and sanitary regulations. Duties include:

• Prepare and serve food and meals in accordance with planned menus, diet plans, recipes, portions, and temperature control procedures.
• Direct and assist in cleaning and sanitizing work areas, equipment and floors, dishes, and utensils.
• Check all trays for menu and diet requirements and preference and accuracy.
• Ensure proper storage for food and supplies.
• Review and process diet changes and ensure menus are maintained and followed in accordance with established procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a senior living setting is preferred.
• Must be able to relate professionally, positively, and cooperatively with residents, resident's families, and employees.
• Must possess advanced computer skills, including email use.
