Job summary

Old Colony YMCA in Halifax, MA seeks a Group Leader to inspire children through activities, games, and meaningful connections. You will be a role model, create memorable experiences, and help run a safe, engaging program alongside a dedicated team.

Requirements include 18+, 6 months school-age experience, HS diploma, CPR/First Aid (training available), and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. This is a hands-on, fun role with opportunities to grow within the organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years of age and have 6 months school age experience.
• Have a High School diploma or equivalent.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required. (willing to train)
• Evidence of physical examination within last 12 months.
• Negative Mantoux TB test and immunity for measles, mumps, and rubella.
• Ability to create and sustain a culture of excellence and work and thrive as part of a cohesive team.
• Ability to lift/move heavy equipment and clean when necessary.
• Will sometimes work early morning, late nights and weekends.
• Strong oral communication skills required for occasional public speaking responsibilities.
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, lift up to 75lbs on occasion and 40lbs frequently (children) and move intermittently during work hours.
• Ability to thoroughly understand Y-USA's three focus areas: Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility; proven ability to identify and meet the needs of the health seeker

Pay Range

The estimated pay range for this job. Disclosing pay information promotes competitive and equitable pay.
The actual pay rate will depend on the person's qualifications and experience. $16.00 - $18.40 / hour
