White Bear Lake Area Schools is seeking a Half-Time 1st Grade Long-Term Substitute teacher for the period 10/20/2026 to 12/28/2026. Duties include delivering instruction, monitoring student progress, and maintaining classroom routines under the supervision of the Principal.

Ideal candidates hold a Minnesota Teaching License for K-6 Elementary Education and are familiar with elementary curriculum and inclusive practices. This half-time position operates Monday through Friday, 11:20 AM - 3:20 PM.

Position Summary: Performs difficult professional work providing a broad range of teaching services or specific learning program, assisting students to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed as a foundation for future learning in accordance with each student's ability, using a variety of teaching and learning methods at various levels to a targeted audience, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the Principal. Occasional oversight is exercised over Paraprofessional or Volunteer.

Education and /or Experience: MN Teaching License K-6 Elementary Education required.

Special Requirements: Minnesota Teaching License required.
