Job summary

Putnam County Schools WV seeks a Half Day Bus Operator to operate school buses and related transportation services. The role involves a 200-day schedule, pre/post trips, and adherence to safety standards under the Putnam County Board of Education guidelines.

Qualifications

• Holds a Commercial Driver’s License, Class B, Passenger and Airbrake Endorsements.
• Passes the required physical examination.
• Has three years of experience as a licensed driver.
• Passes the Department of Motor Vehicles Driving Record Check.
• Passes the Drug/Alcohol Screening.
• Completes 40 hours of required classroom training and 20 hours of behind the wheel training.
• Holds First Aid/CPR Certification.
• Holds a West Virginia School Bus Operator’s Certificate.

Responsibilities

• The half day School Bus Operator shall operate school buses and other transportation vehicles as provided by the West Virginia Board of Education.
• Position involves daily routes and adherence to safety protocols.
