Berkeley County School District Transportation is seeking a Bus Operator to transport students on designated routes. The role requires adherence to state transit regulations, safety procedures and reliable schedule management.

The position requires a high school diploma, WV CDL with endorsements, and successful background and medical checks. Regular and substitute staff follow seniority and qualifications for filling vacancies.

Formación

• High school diploma required.
• Criminal background check as per WV code.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Three years driving experience as licensed operator.
• Must obtain WV CDL license with passenger and school bus endorsements.
• Must complete WV School Bus Safety Program and pass tests.
• Must pass medical exam and drug/alcohol screen.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions.

Responsabilidades

• Perform pre/post trip inspections.
• Learn bus route and pickup/drop-off locations.
• Assist and supervise students with disabilities.
• Communicate with students, parents, school officials and supervisors.
• Complete proper paperwork and monthly reports.
• Work overtime as needed.
• Operate and maintain school bus safely.
