Job summary

Stemilt Growers in Washington state is seeking a Fulltime, year-round team member to maintain the bagging machine and ensure smooth operation of the station. The role involves supervising a small crew (2–6) and directing packing activities, with responsibilities that include data reporting, adherence to schedules, and continuous improvement of bagging processes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the bagging machine and perform required cleaning.
• Learn programs and settings to maximize efficiency.
• Direct crew of 2 to 6 employees packing bags from the machine.

• Keep the work area clean and efficient.
• Know Stemilt fruit grades.
• Strive to improve bagging capabilities of the machine.
• Compile daily data and send to appropriate groups.
• Utilize tools to maximize grower returns.

Number of openings: 1 Fulltime, Year Round

Location: C line- Old Station

Working Shift: Day shift

Hours & Work Days: 5:30 am – 2:30 pm Monday – Friday; Hours may vary depending on production.

These positions will require a pre-employment drug test.

Summary

The objective of this position is to maintain the efficiency and operation of the bagging machine and ensure the timely and accurate operation of this station by performing the following duties.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to read and understand Stemilt pack schedules.
• Oracle and Discoverer capabilities.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Must be able to read, speak and write English.
• Must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds. Occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
