Job summary

Omni Amelia Island Resort & Spa is seeking a professional hair stylist to provide high-quality services to guests and maintain a welcoming, relaxing salon environment. You will perform cutting, blow dry styling, and special occasion updos while ensuring timely appointments and pristine salon standards.

Candidates must hold a current State Cosmetology License (or Barber License) and have at least 1 year of hair services experience, with flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must possess current State Cosmetology License and/or Barber License.
• 1-year minimum experience in hair services.
• Knowledge and adherence to all industry sanitation laws.
• Proficient in cutting, blow dry styling, hot tool use, and special occasion hair styling.
• Ability to stand for several hours.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Meet standards of appearance and maintain personal hygiene.
• Provide warm, engaging, and personalized service.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest possible standard of services while maintaining a relaxing environment.
• To begin and end treatments at the scheduled time.
• Maintain hair salon presentation and cleanliness standard.
• Ensure backbar inventory levels are communicated
• Ensure proper re-stock of salon at the close of each day
• Relay with confidence product and service benefits to clients.
• Required attendance of all department training courses and meetings
• Perform any other duties required by management.
