Job summary

Madison Reed Hair Color Bar in Westport, CT is hiring a Hair Color Bar Assistant, licensed cosmetologist, to support Licensed Colorists and the Shift Lead and provide an exceptional guest experience from arrival to departure. You will assist with consultations, color care products, shampooing, conditioning, blowouts, and add-on services while learning to grow into a Licensed Colorist role.

The role offers base hourly pay plus commissions and tips, with potential earnings of $29–$30 per hour.

Qualifications

• Active cosmetology license in the state you are applying.
• Entry level customer service or retail experience preferred.
• Effective communication and people skills in a fast-paced retail or salon environment.
• Comfortable operating point of sale systems.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate teamwork to provide a guest experience aligned with company values.
• Perform behind-the-chair duties such as assisting in finishing services and shampooing.
• Contribute to achieving monthly sales goals including retail, services, memberships.
• Ensure Hair Color Bar meets cleanliness, merchandising, inventory, and asset security.
• Adhere to Madison Reed systems, policies, processes and procedures.
• Drive revenue through increasing average service ticket and memberships.
• Support Colorist training and growth within Madison Reed.
