Job summary

The Student Conservation Association seeks a Habitat Restoration Technician to support invasive plant control in the Morris Wetland Management District, Morris, MN. You will conduct herbicide and mechanical treatments and assist with mapping and recording invasive locations and the habitats they affect.

You will also support GIS data management and reporting, with housing not provided but staff assistance available.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Experience safely mixing and applying herbicide preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage GIS data.

Responsibilities

• Control invasive plants with herbicide and mechanical methods.
• Survey, map and record locations and extents of invasives.
• Survey, map and record native habitats affected by invasives.
• Assist with GIS data management and reporting.
