Job summary

EnviroScience, Inc. is seeking an Ecological Restoration Technician to support ecological restoration projects. This full-time seasonal role works with ecologists and project managers to implement native plant installations, manage invasives, monitor habitats, and collect data in diverse field conditions.

The position emphasizes field work, data collection, and collaboration with landowners and volunteers. Applicant should have related education and experience and be capable of operating tools

Qualifications

• Education: pursuing or holding a bachelor’s degree in an environmental science related field (Restoration Ecology, Conservation Biology, Botany, Forestry).
• Experience: with invasive and native vegetation identification, and with native plant installation or maintenance.
• Experience with power tools including chainsaws, brush saws, and augers; ability to trailer equipment (UTVs, Argos, boats, heavy machinery).

Responsibilities

• Assist in planting, watering, and maintenance of native vegetation.
• Implement invasive species control measures.
• Conduct habitat restoration activities including streambank stabilization and wetland restoration.
• Perform soil preparation, seed collection, and seeding of restoration sites.
• Collect and record field data accurately.
• Monitor restoration sites for plant health and invasive species presence.
