Job summary

LIFE, Inc. in Newport, NC seeks a Habilitation Manager to lead the interdisciplinary team and oversee habilitation assessments and service delivery in accordance with LIFE, Inc. policies.

The role requires strong leadership, regulatory knowledge, and the ability to coordinate daily operations for individuals with developmental disabilities. Responsibilities

• Function as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team.
• Complete initial/annual Habilitation Assessments.
• Implement in-services and monitor assigned objectives.
• Ensure personal appearance of all consumers per LIFE, Inc. standards.
• Meet medical needs of each consumer through medication checks and scheduling.
• Monitor facility operations for cleanliness, equipment, and safe conditions.
• Ensure vehicles are serviced and well maintained.
• Schedule inspections (fire, sanitation).
• Maintain emergency food and supplies and daily needs.
• Assist with disciplinary actions per LIFE, Inc. policies.
• Train new employees and provide ongoing training.
• Conduct performance appraisals and give feedback.
• Implement LIFE, Inc. policies in facility operations and DSP supervision.
• Complete required inspections and observations per LIFE, Inc. policies.
• Develop staff work schedules to comply with wage/hour laws and ICF/IID requirements.
• Approve PTO requests and ensure coverage.
• Develop monthly activity calendar and monitor it.
• Make purchases to maintain household inventory.
• Monitor DSP schedules and hours.
• Approve DSP timesheets.
