Job summary

LIFE, Inc. - Goldsboro is seeking a Habilitation Manager to lead an interdisciplinary team and oversee habilitation assessments for residents in group homes. The role requires ensuring medical and daily living needs are met, coordinating transportation, and maintaining safety standards across facilities.

The manager will train staff, conduct appraisals, and enforce LIFE, Inc. policies while managing staff schedules and inspections to ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Thorough knowledge of group home operations.
• Understanding of Developmental Disabilities and Mental Illness.
• Experience in Human Services field with supervisory responsibilities.
• Excellent leadership and written/spoken communication abilities.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Function as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team.
• Complete initial/annual Habilitation Assessments.
• Implement in-services and monitor assigned objectives.
• Ensure personal appearance of all consumers per LIFE, Inc. standards.
• Meet medical needs of each consumer through medication checks; order medications as instructed and arrange transportation as needed.
• Monitor operations of facilities for cleanliness, safety, and equipment maintenance.
• Schedule and maintain yearly inspections (fire, sanitation).
• Develop staff work schedules to ensure wage/hour compliance and ICF/IID requirements.
• Approve PTO requests and ensure proper coverage for group homes.
• Develop monthly activity calendars and supervise DSP schedules and timesheets.
